Long overdue

I was ready long before I knew I was ready. Partly ready, perhaps - like a room with all its furniture covered in sheets, waiting for someone brave enough to pull the dust away.

I have picked up the old pieces, the ones I made in late 2023, and I can still see my hands in them. The same technique, the same instinct, the same small proof that I was already beginning. Three years late, I tell myself. Three years buried under hesitation. By now I might have had customers, a line, a name that traveled from mouth to mouth like a match being passed in the dark.

But I was missing the blade.

I had no sense of urgency. No fire at my back. I worked only when it soothed me. I drew a few sketches, touched the idea, then left it there like a body under a white cloth.

That was the mistake.

I had a job. I was safe. And safety became its own little prison - clean, polite, airless. I could not go forward. I could not go backward. I stood in the middle of my own life, nailed there by comfort, waiting for something to become unbearable enough to move me.

And now it has.

The world is different. I am different. The “me” that waited is not the “me” that stands here now. Something has split, and from that split comes the urgency I should have had all along.

Horrible, yes.

But alive.

La Barbie 31th of July of 2006

It is all experience and patience, they say, as if patience were not a small animal trembling under the ribs.

I panicked too often, at every little failure of technique, at every method that promised obedience and then collapsed in my hands. Naturally, I became frustrated. I could have complained, but to whom? The walls have never been famous for listening.

The real pain begins when everything appears too easy. That is when the unnatural instinct rises again, pale and faithful, following me from room to room like a shadow with teeth.

A bottle of whisky, kratom, or Artvigil can place me back on the good road for a while. Bad medicine, of course. A crooked little salvation. But still, it works in its ugly way. And low-key alcoholics sometimes look younger than the ones who never drink. You may guess why. Some poisons preserve what they are also quietly ruining.

I have sketched out the songs that will play through the day and into the night at our lovely szüreti, like little electric ghosts hanging in the air:

  1. The Naked and Famous - Young Blood
  2. Alessio - Si Ma Vene Stasere
  3. The Naked and Famous - Punching in a Dream
  4. MGMT - Kids
  5. Passion Pit - Take a Walk
  6. Weezer - Do You Want to Get High?
  7. Weezer - Island in the Sun
  8. The Lumineers - Ophelia

Let them play. Let the night dress itself in sound. Let everyone pretend, for a few hours, that music is enough to hold the whole thing together.

27th of July 2026 Necessity is the mother of all inventions

I remember back in 2020, there was a story about Joe Biden’s son pushing his father to run against Donald Trump. The way I saw it, there was fear behind it. Private things were coming out: business deals, images, documents, things that lived in that dark space between legal trouble and public scandal.

And maybe, if your father becomes president, the whole world changes around you. The danger feels smaller. The pressure feels different. The consequences feel lighter.

I mention this because, in a strange way, I feel like I am standing in my own version of that moment.

This is my last real chance to launch the shop I have been planning since 2022. But the idea started long before that, maybe around 2017. For years, it lived in my head. I changed plans. I changed strategies. I doubted myself again and again. I kept asking: Is this really the right thing? Is this the right direction?

And because of that, five years of preparation became five years of delay.

Now everything is being squeezed into one week.

This stupid situation I got myself into could change my whole life. It could break me, or it could push me forward. But maybe that is how people work. Without pressure, without fear, without a little chaos, the body does not move. The mind keeps planning forever.

Now the lines are finally coming together.

They are meeting at one point.

That point is 31 August 2026.

This is not the real selling launch yet. This is the mental launch. The moment where everything starts moving. The moment that pushes the manufacturing forward. The moment that leads to Day D, around 1 September 2026, when the products are finally ready to sell.

So hold tight.

Very tight.

Because this is where it begins.

Day of 26th of July 2026 - Whats going on ?

I keep thinking of a man I saw only a few months ago, back in May. There was something in the way he spoke - calm, confident, smooth, as if every word knew exactly where it was going. And he was right.

Since then, I have found myself trying to borrow his voice, to shape my own words in the same steady way.

Now it is July, yet in the cold air I can already feel autumn approaching. It comes quietly, like a warning under the skin.

And as if that were my only trouble, my mind is crowded with everything that could go wrong. The paranoia rises too high, sharp and restless. But strangely, it also pushes me forward. So I suppose there is good in it, and bad too - and most of the time, what comes out is something ugly.

Still, crisis has a strange power. It gives you the force you could not find in peace.
